Ron Johnson has become a very dear friend and great influence in my life. For the past 16 years, he pastored Bethel Temple in Hampton, Virginia. This past Sunday Ron resigned his church to launch into a full-time international ministry.
BELOW IS THE LETTER SENT OUT BY THE CHURCH MAKING THIS ANNOUNCEMENT:
After much prayer and thoughtful consideration our Senior Pastor Ron Johnson announced yesterday, January 13, 2008 his resignation as Senior Pastor of Bethel Temple Church effective February 15, 2008. Pastor Ron is responding to an increasingly clear international call upon his life and ministry which we all have witnessed. Therefore, with heart-felt sorrow yet great rejoicing we release him and his precious wife Sandy to pursue the Lord’s promotion. They have spent 16 wonderful years as our pastors having led exemplary lives with outstanding service to this church. We therefore stand with them as they enter this new season, and ask that you pray with Bethel Temple during its transition.
For now, Dr. H. Robert Rhoden, who serves on the National Executive Board of the Assemblies of God, along with a transition team will serve during the interim. Upon further notice, there will be opportunity provided for all to express their deep love and appreciation for Pastor Ron and Sandy’s years of exemplary service.
Sincerely,
The Board and Elders of Bethel Temple Church
Just wanted to let Pastor Ron Johnson know that we enjoy his interviews with inspiring people like Dr. Paul Ai. Watching and listening to the interview touched our hearts with so much truth to who we fight against in this world-- it's not people but our unseen enemy. If more pastors would bring this out into the open to keep us informed with these testimonies it would have an impact on humanity. We need for outspoken pastor like Pastor Ron Johnson in this area.

I was under the leadership of pastor ron and ms sandy for eight years at bethel temple in hampton,va. I just want them to know that they are deeply missed. The church in Florida is so blessed to have them. Never take it for granted. Does the church have a web site?
