This past Wednesday, I had coffee again with Kevin Jordan who is the chaplain to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is Kevin's second year with the team, and he is in full swing planning chapel services, couples Bible studies, and one on one ministry to the players on the team.
Kevin was a stand out receiver at UCLA in the mid-nineties. His wife Jenny is a pro beach volleyball player. They are both passionate followers of Christ.
Kevin and Jenny will be our special guests on the first weekend of October (Oct 3-4), as we will be kicking off a special INVITATION MONTH. That weekend, Kevin and Jenny will share a brief testimony, and I will begin a NEW series entitled 30 DAYS TO LIVE.
The 30 DAYS TO LIVE series will be designed to help us ask some eternal questions. What choices might we make if we knew we had only a month left to live? Maybe, if we viewed our life that way, we might identify a path to a life well lived. We want to study the Scriptures to determine what it means to live a 'regret-free' life.
After the service we will host a BLACK AND GOLD PARTY in the concourse. We will serve Kielbasa, Hot Dogs, and lots of other tail-gate foods. Wear your Black & Gold jersey and BRING A FRIEND.
